The Crisis of Yielding [Acts 2:22-36] — Crises of a Christian Series #3

References: Acts 2:22-36

The earliest creed of the Church affirms that Jesus Christ is Lord. In essence, this is the message of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. In the purpose of God, all of history will be climaxed when the Lordship of Christ will be acclaimed on heaven, on earth, and in Hell. This is why the Lord Jesus who came to this earth as the man of sorrows will return as King of kings and Lord of lords. A response to this undisputed Lordship of Christ is the crisis of yielding. Until we have crowned the Lord Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords we cannot claim Him to be our Savior and our Master. And we cannot claim to be yielded Christians. Can you claim to be a yielded Christian? If Almighty God has made that same Jesus whom we crucified both Lord and Christ (Acts 2:36), Can you and I do anything less? This is the supreme challenge of the Christian gospel.
